Our Rioja Alavesa wine, a real pleasure for the palate

Enjoy our Rioja Alavesa wine

Our Rioja Alavesa wine, from the Grand Reserve or the Selected Vintage, to the Young Reds, Crianza and Reserve, as well as the White or the Rosé, carries a small part of ourselves, our character, our time, our dedication, our land. In short, it carries part of our essence. We take care of the entire winemaking process in a rigorous manner with the aim of offering the quality and flavour that the consumer deserves. Therefore, we can say that our wines are handcrafted, combining innovation and tradition.

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bottle of Rioja wine and share it”

We adhere to the highest quality standards. For this reason, we select only the best grapes for the production of our wines. We choose Tempranillo, Grenache, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. All of them come from ancient vines deeply rooted in our land and cultivated in a sustainable way. Rioja Alavesa wine, the flavour of our land.

Rioja Alavesa wine, the flavour of our land

At Bodegas Estraunza we use different winemaking methods depending on the type of wine we want to obtain. With the first one, carbonic maceration, very traditional in Rioja Alavesa, we get our young Rioja Alavesa wine. On the other hand, with the destemming method, we obtain our wines crianza and reserve, wines with greater intensity. Finally, for our Rioja Alavesa wine of selected vintage, we use malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. It must remain there for 12 to 16 months. We hope you enjoy our Rioja Alavesa wine, as much as we enjoy the wine-making process.
