What is wine tourism?
Wine tourism, or enotourism, is a type of tourism that is increasingly on the rise, focused on winemaking areas.
Wine tourism consists of travelling to a wine-producing area with the aim of getting to know and enjoy the world of wine from within: wineries, vineyards, winemaking, history…
In short, it is an experience far from the typical journey in which we visit the city and sleep at the hotel. It is a learning process, a way of living the destiny from its own roots, getting to know its people, discovering its gastronomy.
Wine tourism perfectly combines four elements: first of all, rural tourism, since it is a matter of getting to know small villages, with history, paved buildings and narrow streets.
Secondly, the culture and history that will make us know the past to understand the present of our destination. The third aspect is gastronomy. There is no better way to get to know an area than through its food, recipes and ingredients. And finally, and as it could not be otherwise, the wine.
